In order to ensure the cleanliness of the pipeline system, after passing the strength and tightness tests, the system should be purged and cleaned (collectively referred to as blowing) before being put into operation to remove iron filings, rust, welding slag, dust, and other contaminants from the pipeline. Indoor heating pipes are usually cleaned using high-pressure cleaning equipment.
Before using the heating pipeline system, high-pressure cleaning equipment is often used for flushing. When flushing, if there are many branches in the pipe and the cross-sectional area at the end is small, 1-2 valves in the main pipe can be removed and flushed in sections. If there are not many branches of the pipeline, the drainage pipe can be connected from the end of the main pipe. The cross-section of the drainage pipe should not be less than 60% of the cross-section of the pipeline being flushed, and the drainage pipe should be connected to a reliable drainage well or ditch, ensuring smooth and safe discharge. When flushing, use the maximum possible flow rate within the system or a flow rate of not less than 1.5m/s. When there are no regulations in the design, it is considered qualified if the color and transparency of the outlet water are visually consistent with the population.
After flushing with high-pressure cleaning equipment for pipelines, the water should be drained completely. If necessary, compressed air can be used to dry or protective measures can be taken.
In addition, when encountering a heating system with a large volume and difficulty in obtaining water, due to its low cleanliness requirements, self circulation can be used for cleaning. But a filter should be added before the circulating pump to regularly remove dirt and replace some of the circulating water.
